Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. This role requires a highly skilled and competent technologist with specialized training and knowledge of cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with complex interventional and therapeutic radiologic procedures, including peripheral and coronary angioplasty, stents, rotablators, artherectomy, laser, and coronary ultrasound.
  • Participate in electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and device implantation.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and adhere to radiation standards and guidelines established by radiology agencies.
  • Mentor and train Cath Lab Rad Tech I's, Cath Lab RN's, and students.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and executing above-average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Magnet-recognized hospital.
  • Knowledge of multiple computer systems, including Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software.
Work Environment

This role requires availability to be on call and may require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area or outside of Houston.
