Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Loan Officer to join our team at First Federal Bank. As a key member of our mortgage lending team, you will be responsible for originating and processing residential mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview and assess loan applicants to determine creditworthiness
  • Request and verify loan application information
  • Notify applicants of loan decisions and provide clear explanations
  • Communicate effectively with customers, applicants, and creditors to resolve questions and concerns
  • Recommend and outline loan terms, including interest rates and repayment schedules
  • Inform prospective borrowers of loan commitments and provide guidance on loan options
  • Stay up-to-date on developing laws and regulations affecting installment loan security agreements
  • Assist with delinquent account files and contribute to quality loan growth
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree preferred
  • Minimum 6 years' experience originating mortgage loans
  • Strong understanding of financial institution products and services
  • Excellent cross-selling, organizational, and communication skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with borrowers, builders, and realtors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
