Job Summary
Ascension Sacred Heart is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will provide administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting patients and visitors, checking patients in and out, and obtaining necessary documentation. You will also verify and enter demographic information, obtain and verify insurance authorizations, and complete medical record release requests. Additionally, you will schedule and confirm patient appointments, enter and review charges for patient procedures and services, and collect co-payments and reconcile daily reports and deposits.
Requirements
High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required. Medical office experience is preferred.
