Position Overview:

The Mobile Service Technician II plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. This position involves working independently to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of major vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance services to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and required services.
  • Perform road tests on vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper functionality.
  • Manage parts inventory and order necessary components for repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in using shop tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy equipment.

Work Environment:

The role requires working in various conditions, including outdoor environments and non-climate-controlled spaces. The technician must be able to adapt to changing weather conditions and maintain safety protocols at all times.
