Job Summary

The Food Service Worker II will provide exceptional patient care and support services in the dietary department of Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated. This role will assist with patient menu orders, maintain office supplies, and run reports, while ensuring compliance with cafeteria, food, and beverage regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with menu orders and provide guidance on dietary restrictions
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including diet reports and missed meal reports
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards in the dietary department
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
  • Assist with restocking and inventory management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor or Director of Food Service
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service desired
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions

The Food Service Worker II will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal access to patient health information. The role will require standing and walking for most of the day, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.

Reports To

The Food Service Worker II will report to the Food Service Supervisor and Director of Food Service.
