About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the shipping and delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tender freight orders to preferred carriers, ensuring on-time delivery and effective cost management.
  • Assist the Transportation Supervisor in procuring freight, identifying transportation requirements, and negotiating with carriers.
  • Monitor inbound TMS systems to ensure carrier acceptance and rating of shipments.
  • Audit freight payment processes for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare financial performance reports related to Kroger managed freight.
  • Communicate regularly with various stakeholders, including procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, shipping & receiving, carriers, and distribution centers.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center Transportation teams to promote the movement of inbound freight on the company's available fleet resources.
  • Plan and schedule fleet pickups at vendor locations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work off-schedule hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to learn and operate Kroger programs and systems.
  • Strong follow-up and accountability skills.
  • Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Flexibility to handle changing scope of assignments and projects.
  • Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate and on-time results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
