Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Logistics Broker team and our customers by providing various levels of assistance. This includes monitoring freight for efficient pick-up and delivery, collaborating with internal teams and third-party carriers, and communicating clearly with partners to gather and report information regarding load status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Freight Monitoring: Regularly check in with carriers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of freight.
  • Communication: Collaborate with Logistics Brokers, third-party carriers, and other stakeholders to gather and report information regarding load status.
  • Load Details: Seek and document load details such as arrival and departure times, truck locations, and transit issues.
  • System Updates: Ensure the internal system (TMW) is up-to-date with accurate details provided by carriers, including arrival, departure times, and each stop on the travel route.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate issues to the CXR and CPS teams, such as late pickups, missed appointments, and delays on the road that may cause disruptions.
  • ETA and Travel Time Prediction: Use available mileage information to predict ETA and travel times, and note any potential delays.
  • Weather Forecasting: Monitor weather reports to forecast disruptions on particular lanes.
  • Proactive Communication: Proactively reach out to carriers before they contact you, and provide consistent communication to ensure carriers recognize your commitment to the load.
  • Performance Standards: Adhere to the performance standards set in the KPI schedule.
Requirements
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work in-office Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm EST.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with the use of a computer, including Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Geographic Knowledge: Strong understanding of geographic locations and routes.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Time Sensitive Information: Proven ability to work with time-sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Logistics Software Experience: Previous experience using TMW or other logistics software.
  • Supply Chain Logistics Experience: Previous experience in a supply chain logistics environment, which would be considered an asset.
