Customer Service Representative Job Summary:
Dutch Boy Cleaners is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional service to our clients. As the face of our company, you will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive top-notch service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs for dry cleaning, laundry, or alterations.
- Explain dry cleaning processes, services, and pricing to customers.
- Check-in garments and items, tagging them correctly for identification and processing.
- Inspect items for any damages or stains and notify customers of any issues before processing.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to handle transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Provide customers with receipts, tickets for their garments, and return dates for pickup.
- Answer customer inquiries in-person and via phone or email, providing information on services, turnaround times, and garment care.
- Update customers on the status of their items as needed, including any delays or issues.
- Manage customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring a pleasant environment for customers.
- Coordinate with the back-of-house staff to ensure orders are processed and completed on time.
- Keep track of inventory and supplies, such as hangers, garment bags, and tags, and place orders when necessary.
- Promote additional services and special offers to customers.
- Follow up with customers to encourage repeat business and obtain feedback.
- Ensure confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Customer service experience, preferably in a retail or service environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Familiarity with handling cash and processing credit card transactions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Knowledge of garment care and dry-cleaning services is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints gracefully.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
