Position Summary: The role of the Lead Financial Analyst is situated within our Rocky Mountain Asphalt & Paving District Office. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this position is crucial in delivering financial accounting, analysis, and support to both the Finance Manager and District Plant Personnel. The Lead Financial Analyst will focus on enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of daily financial transaction recording. Key Responsibilities: Manage financial closings, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and comprehensive reporting. Reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy. Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives. Ensure timely and precise routine management reporting. Conduct standard and ad hoc analyses for management review. Provide analytical support for critical business decisions. Assist with internal and external audit processes. Ensure effective internal controls are in place, including compliance with SOX. Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures. Develop a thorough understanding of the business operations. Offer accounting assistance to district personnel. Maintain effective communication with Division and Corporate support teams. Uphold a commitment to safety policies in all work environments. Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. Professional certification preferred (CPA or CMA). Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting. Supervisory experience is advantageous. Background in manufacturing or construction materials is a plus. Strong independent working capabilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven expertise in financial and business analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software. Familiarity with JD Edwards and IBM Planning Analytics is beneficial. Knowledge of GAAP principles.
