Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Natural Gas Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our commercial operations by providing insightful data analysis, market intelligence, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis of natural gas supply and demand trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability for various business units.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the natural gas market.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, financial modeling, and market research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed.
- Availability for travel as required.
- Advanced skills in Power BI.
- Previous commercial, trading, and/or origination/business development experience in the natural gas industry.
- Transactional experience with natural gas pipelines, producers, storage, and end users.
- Familiarity with Tallgrass's interstate natural gas and storage assets.
This position may require the performance of other duties as assigned.
