Application Support Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team at Intelliswift Software. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our clients' business applications and technical tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily administration, support, and maintenance of business applications and technical tools.
- Perform tier 3 escalation for software applications hosted internally and externally.
- Work closely with other IT functional areas and vendors to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system outages and disruptions.
- Provide feedback and documentation to the design team and Service Desk to adjust standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with Testing and QA to create, refresh, and stage testing environments.
- Adhere to software release schedules, software compatibility matrices, and change management.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization and assist with scheduled or unscheduled system outages.
- Oversee vendor management, vendor relations, and escalation, enforcing service level agreements and monitoring vendor alignment with business strategic direction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and credit union departments, products, and systems.
- Extensive technical skills related to software applications.
- Proficiency and practical experience with Episys financial application, SQL, Microsoft Operating Systems, and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with database and programming fundamentals, networking technologies, hardware components, and interfaces and middleware.
- Experience with Java, HTML, .Net, web services, Netapp SAN, IBM hardware, VMWare, Cisco networking, and Citrix.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in multi-tasking, planning, scheduling, and organizing.
- Ability to work well under stress, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement, user satisfaction, and adherence to standards.
- Ability to exercise excellent troubleshooting skills to analyze problems objectively.
- Ability to think logically with attention to detail and a focus on follow-up.
- Ability to demonstrate results-driven, strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to exercise strong vendor management skills and work collaboratively to achieve results.
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 and willingness to work flexible shifts.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time while operating a computer.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass applicable client's and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks.
