About the Role

The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled Client Services Specialist to join the Division of Tenant and Owner Resources. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and their experiences are positive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and satisfactory answers to client inquiries and concerns
  • Review client accounts to provide updates on their subsidy program
  • Prepare and send correspondence, tracking responses
  • Assist with reviewing email accounts and virtual mail room to route documents to corresponding units
  • Perform community outreach to assist Section 8 participation
  • Perform administrative work, including data entry and logging
  • Document case files and electronic records
  • Attend mandatory trainings

Requirements:

  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
