About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Michael Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to research common failures and implement strategies to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Develop and manage asset maintenance plans, including value-added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization of predictive testing methodologies.
  • Provide input to risk management plans to anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could impact plant operations.
  • Train other personnel on data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Work with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to perform analyses of assets, including asset utilization, equipment effectiveness, and remaining useful life.
  • Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/design, and make/buy decisions.
  • Participate in plant and enterprise-driven continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, with BSME (Mechanical Engineer) and/or focus in Equipment Reliability Engineering preferred.
  • 3 or more years of experience in maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering, or operations experience.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Experience using continuous improvement methodologies to lead RCA and RFCA events.
  • Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and customers.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
