Role Summary:
Corporate Business Development oversees all facets of growth for a $650M private equity-backed organization. This encompasses marketing strategies, pipeline management, business intelligence, opportunity capture, proposal development, and the formulation of differentiation and winning strategies, alongside the company’s strategic and operational planning.
SPA is currently seeking a highly experienced Capture and Solutions executive. This role is based in Alexandria, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will lead and mentor SPA's team of Capture Managers, overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive capture plans. Your responsibilities will include:
- Formulating solution development and value propositions.
- Analyzing competitive environments and devising probability of win (Pwin) strategies.
- Collaborating with executive leadership, proposal operations, business development, and delivery teams to implement corporate growth strategies.
- Working with Account and Division leadership to allocate capture resources effectively.
- Participating in gate and color reviews of proposals.
- Supporting business development initiatives to identify and qualify opportunities while crafting growth strategies.
- Regularly reviewing capture opportunities to evaluate progression and Pwin.
Your initial focus will be on developing and assessing the Air Force pipeline, with plans to expand support to other account pipelines as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance; TS/SCI is advantageous.
- Over 10 years of proven experience in executing growth strategies for engineering and professional services contracts within the DoD, DHS, or other national security sectors.
- Demonstrated success in capturing and winning Federal opportunities with the Air Force and other military branches, particularly for contracts valued over $50M for single-award and over $100M for multiple-award IDIQ contracts.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively organize and execute significant capture activities, including teaming strategies and solution development.
- Experience with Shipley BD processes throughout the business development lifecycle.

- Proven track record of establishing strong working relationships with program staff, management, and business development colleagues.
- Capability to develop innovative and differentiated professional services solutions for Federal clients.
