Job Summary

The California Department of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personnel Supervisor I to join our team. As a Personnel Supervisor I, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and high-level direction in the handling of personnel transactions, including payroll, benefits, and personnel records. You will also be responsible for supervising a team of personnel specialists and providing training and guidance to ensure the successful completion of personnel transactions.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical expertise and high-level direction in the handling of personnel transactions, including payroll, benefits, and personnel records.
* Supervise a team of personnel specialists and provide training and guidance to ensure the successful completion of personnel transactions.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and policies.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective personnel transactions.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel transactions, including payroll, benefits, and personnel records.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

This position is located in Sacramento, California, and requires regular attendance at the California Department of Social Services headquarters. The position may also require occasional travel to other locations within the state.
