Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at a global leader in power converter manufacturing. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and developing a Quality System to meet customer requirements, including tracking quality issues, coordinating quality activities, monitoring and improving quality levels, and maintaining ISO9000 compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automated systems and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Analyze and interpret CMM and scan data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct process improvements and apply countermeasures to resolve quality issues.
  • Manage PPAP and generate inspection reports to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support mechanical and control system upgrades to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Document all technical procedures and perform Gauge R&R studies to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Oversee quality documentation and records management to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to maintain high-quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Quality Engineering Experience: Experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Supervisor in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Root-Cause Analysis Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret basic and advanced part prints.
  • Measurement Equipment Familiarity: Proficiency in using basic measuring tools.
  • ISO9000 Compliance Knowledge: Understanding and experience with ISO9000 standards.
  • ANPQP System Knowledge: Familiarity with ANPQP system and requirements.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Nissan or OEMs: Prior quality engineering experience with Nissan or other OEMs.
  • Metal Stamping Quality: Background in metal stamping quality processes.
  • 3D CAD Knowledge: Experience with CAD software for product measurement.
  • Six Sigma Certification: Demonstrated use of Six Sigma quality tools for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE): Certification as a Quality Engineer.
  • Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Experience: Experience working within the automotive Tier 1 supply chain.
  • Poke Yoke Expertise: Knowledge and experience implementing error-proofing systems.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to coordinate engineering changes and quality activities across multiple departments and locations.
