SAFETY OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC.
Homes for the Homeless is dedicated to providing shelter for families facing homelessness in New York City. Our family residences offer more than just shelter; they provide access to a variety of onsite programs aimed at empowering families during their stay and beyond. Our mission is to foster a positive impact, enabling families to thrive long after they leave our facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee safety personnel, providing guidance and direction on routine security operations during assigned shifts.
- Monitor surveillance systems for both the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Implement and uphold facility policies and regulations.
- Conduct investigations into incidents or interactions that occur.
- Serve as the Fire Safety Director and manage the Fire Command Station.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Experience in security or law enforcement, with at least one year in a supervisory role preferred.
- Possession of a valid NYS Security License.
- Certification as F-02 (Fire Guard for Shelters) is required.
- Certification as F-80 (Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems in Homeless Shelters) is required.
- Current 8-hour and 16-hour safety training certificates are mandatory.
