Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counselor to join our team at Family Service League Inc. as a Mental Health Professional. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and have at least 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, and psychotherapy services to children, families, and adults with a range of DSM diagnoses.
  • Deliver individual and family therapy sessions to children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during scheduled work hours as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with OMH standards.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling required.
  • LMHC or limited permit required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required.
  • Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and experience with behavioral/therapeutic interventions preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records, required.
  • Valid and clean NYS Driver's License required.
