Job Summary:

The Youth Support Counselor is a vital member of our team at MercyFirst, providing emotional support and supervision to our youth. With extensive training, you will utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to working with our children. This role reports to the Sr. Program Manager and is supported by the treatment team and the Program's Assistant Director.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for our youth
Implement treatment team recommendations
Supervise clients' attendance/participation at structured activities
Document clients' behaviors and activities
Safely transport clients to scheduled appointments
Assist children in learning independent living skills

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of related experience working with children/youth (preferred)
Valid driver's license (strongly preferred)
Ability to accurately document children's activities
Ability and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends

Hourly Rate:

$20/hour PLUS $3/Hour differential
Hiring Incentive of $1,000 after 500 worked hours
