Job Overview

Volt is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to join our team.

As a CNC Machining Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Programming: Developing and refining CNC programs for lathes and milling machines utilizing software such as MasterCam.
  • Setup: Configuring CNC machinery, which involves choosing and installing the correct tools and fixtures.
  • Operation: Operating the machines to manufacture components, ensuring adherence to strict tolerances and quality benchmarks.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and rectifying any complications that occur during the machining process.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluating finished components to confirm they meet specifications, employing tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
  • Documentation: Interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
  • Collaboration: Partnering with engineers, machinists, and other team members to enhance processes and guarantee efficient production.
  • Maintenance: Conducting routine upkeep on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.

This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in programming and setting up lathes with live tooling (mill/turn).
  • Expertise in lathe programming and live tooling (mill/turn) using MasterCAM or comparable software.
  • Proficiency in setting up and selecting tools on CNC lathes.
  • Experience in producing parts with stringent tolerances.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
  • A background in aerospace manufacturing.

Compensation: $52,000 - $72,800 annually. The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be determined by various factors, including education, work experience, job location, specific job duties, and certifications.
