Job Overview
Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance strategies through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for minimizing waste and maximizing operational efficiency. Oversee capital projects from initial planning through to installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Conduct benchmarking against industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
Design control systems for manufacturing machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select and procure capital equipment for production processes.

Optimize existing machinery to boost uptime, enhance quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.

Establish initiatives for cost-saving measures to align with overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance programs.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams for continuous improvement initiatives.

Authorize and approve modifications to machine tool programs.

Train staff on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and maintain Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team initiatives and champion collaborative activities.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is essential.

Demonstrated abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Strong interpersonal skills are vital.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Assist other facilities with technical challenges.

Applicants must be capable of independently managing assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
