Position: Accountant - Financial Reporting

Creative Financial Staffing is collaborating with a distinguished financial services firm that focuses on delivering financing solutions for both personal and commercial clients. This firm is associated with one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of commercial vehicles across the nation, offering leasing options tailored to the unique needs of each customer. In response to their expanding operations, they are seeking an Accountant to assist with the responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager. This position supports a hybrid work model following the initial training period.

Key Responsibilities:

First Week of the Month:

  • Assist in compiling financial statements by extracting data from various platforms and supplying it to the Financial Reporting Manager.
  • Support the adjustment of journal entries, with a primary focus on recurring entries, which includes duplicating entries from the prior month and making necessary modifications.
  • Engage in extensive Excel work to ensure the precision and completeness of financial information.

Second Week of the Month:

  • Oversee the lease management system for approximately 2,600 leases nationwide.
  • Identify leases that are nearing expiration each month and remove them from the system in accordance with the provided training manual.
  • Verify the accuracy of journal entries generated by the system and rectify any inconsistencies.
  • Identify and address any challenges within the lease management process.

Last Week of the Month:

  • Work closely with team members to manage business operations across the country.
  • Prepare annual reports in line with licensing obligations and monitor submission deadlines.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to ensure timely submissions.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience in financial reporting are essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage repetitive tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
