Creative Financial Staffing is partnering with a boutique financial services firm to provide financing for personal and commercial clients. Due to growth, they are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to assist the Financial Reporting Manager in Purchase, NY. This role offers a hybrid schedule after training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports by downloading data from various systems and providing it to the Financial Reporting Manager.
  • Help with the adjustment of journal entries, primarily focusing on recurring entries.
  • Perform extensive work in Excel to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Manage the lease tracking system for approximately 2,600 leases across 50 states.
  • Identify leases that are expiring each month and remove them from the system according to the training manual provided.
  • Verify the accuracy of system-generated journal entries and correct any discrepancies.
  • Identify and resolve any issues within the lease tracking process.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager to manage business operations across all 50 states.
  • Submit annual reports based on licensing requirements and keep track of due dates.
  • Coordinate with third-party agencies to ensure they are on schedule for submissions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a MUST.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting is a MUST.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
