The role of an Aircraft Systems Maintenance Specialist is crucial in maintaining these sophisticated machines to the highest standards. These professionals are tasked with ensuring that every aspect of the aircraft is in peak condition, allowing for immediate readiness and safe operations by pilots.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet specific criteria related to their background, health, and adherence to the standards set forth by the Air Force and federal regulations.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 42, possess U.S. citizenship, and achieve a qualifying score on the ASVAB test.

*High school students may initiate their application process at the conclusion of their junior year.

Individuals who have not graduated or do not hold alternate credentials must secure an AFQT Test score of 65 or higher on the ASVAB.

Qualifications Include:

  • Understanding of aircraft systems principles
  • Normal color vision
  • Successful completion of a National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks, and Credit evaluation
  • Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
  • Must be at least 17 years old and not exceed age 42 at the time of enlistment
