Legal Counsel for Commercial Affairs

Position Overview: As a pivotal member of the legal team, you will serve as a strategic partner to the business, focusing on the negotiation and management of various commercial agreements, including on-premise and cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, encompassing software licenses, SaaS agreements, and procurement contracts.
  • Assess and mitigate risks while ensuring that business and compliance requirements are accurately captured in all agreements.
  • Provide timely support to a dynamic technology sales team and their leadership.
  • Assist in the execution of business initiatives and projects as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school, with a valid license to practice in the United States.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with a preference for in-house commercial licensing or SaaS experience.
  • Extensive background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex software and service agreements.
  • Familiarity with software and SaaS-related issues, including revenue recognition, privacy, and intellectual property rights.
  • Exceptional analytical, drafting, communication, and negotiation abilities.
