Position Overview:

The Senior Claims Administrator for Owner Controlled Insurance Programs plays a pivotal role in overseeing claims related to the Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) within MTA, Inc. This position entails managing various insurance claims, including but not limited to Casualty, Workers Compensation, and Builders' Risk. The administrator will also be responsible for coordinating with Third-Party Administrators (TPA) to ensure smooth operations within the OCIP Claims Division of the Risk Management Department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Financial Management:**
- Oversee all financial transactions associated with the TPA program, ensuring thorough review and approval of settlements, invoices, and checks.
- Maintain and reconcile OCIP policies and associated accounts.

2. **Claims Investigation:**
- Conduct initial investigations of claims, determining appropriate insurance coverage and gathering necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments to secure evidence and information pertinent to claims.

3. **Reporting and Reconciliation:**
- Generate and reconcile periodic reports, including monthly status updates and loss runs.
- Ensure timely follow-up on settlement payments to maintain efficiency.

4. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Assist claims adjusters and administrative staff with various tasks as directed.
- Engage in regular communication with brokers and legal counsel regarding open claims and strategies for resolution.

5. **Compliance and Documentation:**
- Respond to discovery requests and participate in claims reviews.
- Maintain a comprehensive log of OCIP claims and participate in field visits as necessary.

Qualifications:

- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 4 years in a related role, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or relevant certifications.
- **Skills:** Proficiency in financial management, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential. Familiarity with insurance programs and policies is also required.
