Sovereign Claims, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to join our team. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for investigating and supervising outsourced investigations of CGL insurance claims and lawsuits related to construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Investigation and Supervision: Conduct thorough investigations of CGL insurance claims and lawsuits, and supervise outsourced investigations as needed.
- Information Gathering: Gather information from various sources to assess causes and extent of losses.
- Loss Transfer and Management: Utilize knowledge of construction and insurance practices to transfer losses to others and manage claims.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with defense and coverage counsel as needed, and provide status reports to clients.
- Litigation Management: Manage all phases of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.
- Negotiation and Mediation: Participate in negotiations and mediations with involved parties.
- Coverage Analysis: Conduct coverage analysis, draft opinions, and recommend reserves.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate documentation and time records, and manage data reporting.
- Experience: Experience in CGL insurance or risk management.
- Background: Background in handling bodily injury and property damage claims.
- Education and License: Bachelor's degree and GL adjuster license required.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, strong communication and problem-solving skills, organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines, commitment to quality work and ethical standards.
