As a Senior Claims Advocate, you will deliver exceptional claims service in the daily management of Property and Casualty claims and associated matters. Your focus will be on personal lines such as auto and homeowners insurance, alongside sectors like construction, transportation, and real estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and report new claims efficiently.
- Examine insurance policies to confirm coverage details.
- Review and investigate all coverage position letters, ensuring follow-up for resolution.
- Monitor ongoing claims and assist in their resolution.
- Engage with clients, legal representatives, insurance providers, and agents to facilitate the claims process.
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive claim reviews, involving insurance carriers as necessary.
- Participate in committees, meetings, or teleconferences with clients and insurance personnel to foster relationships.
- Discuss reporting protocols, promote claims services, and address specific claim requirements.
- Assist in training unit staff in your area of expertise and serve as a resource for the department.
- Support the administration of the Claims Department and guide Claims Representatives as required.
- Engage in special projects as needed and provide 24-hour emergency claims service on a rotational basis.
Qualifications:
A valid New Jersey Broker's license is mandatory. Ideal candidates will possess 5-10 years of claims experience, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and strong customer service and interpersonal skills. A college degree is required, with agency experience preferred. Proficiency in computer applications, including Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with the Applied Epic insurance system, is essential.
