Territory Sales Representative

The Territory Sales Representative - Rental Equipment plays a crucial role in achieving maximum sales growth, profitability, and account conversion, penetration, and retention within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute sales plans to maintain and build customer relationships, establishing The Home Depot as the preferred heavy equipment rental vendor.
- Execute all steps of the sales process, including prospecting, sales planning, cold calling, negotiation of contracts/pricing, and closing.
- Partner with The Home Depot field and corporate colleagues to identify high-opportunity conversion and market penetration opportunities.
- Leverage internal resources to maximize time spent in front of customers, ensuring up-to-date account data and accurate pipeline and sales-related activity reporting.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, with demonstrated skills and abilities in account selling, cold calling, and territory account management.
- Strong sales acumen, record of achievement, and exceptional self-discipline, independence, and work ethic.
- Effective in both new account closing and ongoing relationship management, with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize sales time in relation to account opportunity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Dynamics CRM, Excel, smartphone, and tablets, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- College degree in Business or Marketing.
- Knowledge of and selling or renting to the construction or related equipment industry.
The employee is required to talk and hear, with driving for extended periods of time. Working conditions may include working indoors and outdoors in cold, hot, and damp areas.
