Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse I to join our team at Rhode Island Hospital. As a Registered Nurse I, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes and care processes.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical expertise to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibility for the patient care unit as delegated.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Visual and aural ability to monitor patient status.
  • Physical ability to assist in lifting and positioning patients.
  • Exposed to patient care environment.
  • Physical ability for extensive walking and standing; lifting, positioning, and pushing patients on stretchers.
