Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering patient and family-centered care that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. The RN collaborates closely with patients and their families to identify individual preferences, needs, and values, ensuring that these guide all clinical decisions. Utilizing clinical expertise, the RN integrates physical assessment findings with patient and family preferences to set mutual care objectives and develop a comprehensive care plan aimed at delivering optimal patient outcomes based on best practices.
Collaboration: The RN works in partnership with the healthcare team to provide holistic and timely care. Continuous evaluation and documentation of patient progress towards established goals are essential, and the RN is responsible for adjusting the care plan as necessary to facilitate patient advancement.
Qualifications: Diploma or Associate degree is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Licensure: Current Rhode Island nursing license is mandatory; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
Experience: 1-2 years of nursing experience is preferred.
