Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Appointment Scheduling
    • Coordinate patient appointments and schedules with healthcare providers and staff.
    • Ensure accurate and timely scheduling of appointments.
  • Check Out
    • Assist patients with the check-out process, including reviewing and providing after-visit summaries.
    • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
    • Support patient scheduling and message documentation.
  • Telephone Communication
    • Answer and direct phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
    • Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • One year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
