Compensation and Benefits Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration:
- Oversee biweekly payroll for internal entities and PEO clients
- Ensure precision in weekly and bi-weekly payroll executions
- Manage onboarding documentation and data entry for new hires
- Maintain employee deductions, process modifications, and terminations
- Input court-mandated deductions
- Execute payroll and tax documentation for various clients, adhering to designated timelines
- Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions for diverse employee classifications
- Review and rectify payroll discrepancies
- Handle adjustments, corrections, and special payroll cycles
- Generate benefit reports and monthly workers' compensation summaries
- System Oversight:
- Utilize payroll software for processing and reporting tasks
- Troubleshoot system challenges and collaborate on enhancements
- Reporting Duties:
- Create and disseminate comprehensive payroll reports
- Analyze payroll data for trends and enhancements
- Prepare year-end documentation, including W-2s and 1099s
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Contribute to process enhancements and efficiency improvements
- Engage in payroll-related projects and initiatives
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a PEO or multi-client setting
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline preferred
- Strong comprehension of payroll laws and regulations
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Worker’s Compensation
- Background in Professional Employer Organization (PEO)
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
