Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard, oversee, and expand account relationships with Small Business clients (defined as those with revenues between $1-10MM) within designated portfolios.
  • Evaluate the customer's financial requirements through the analysis of moderately complex data, and as necessary, suggest a diverse range of financial products and services to support the customer's financial success.
  • Foster outstanding customer relationships with a thorough understanding of cash flow and the operational cycles of small businesses, and how our business products and services can assist those in the portfolio.
  • Ensure the success and growth of an assigned portfolio by nurturing existing customer relationships and managing associated risks.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal small business partners and stakeholders to independently address moderately complex customer or process challenges and achieve small business objectives.
  • Engage in prospecting activities and implement contact strategies aimed at generating new small business relationships.
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within the small business sector and contribute to larger initiatives related to customer relationships and business expansion.
  • This LO position entails customer interaction and responsibilities that may include assessing needs and referring interested customers to a SAFE team member for dwelling secured products. This role involves assisting customers without processing applications or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position must also meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) as outlined in the job expectations below.


Essential Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Banking, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing or managing a portfolio of clients with annual revenues of $1MM - $10MM.
  • Strong understanding of deposit and cash management products and services.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to balance client needs with the associated risks and interests of Wells Fargo.
  • 3+ years of experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Established connections within the local market.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher.


Job Expectations:

  • This position will require visiting customers and prospects outside of the branch location within an assigned market/geography.
  • Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) roles must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be utilized to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness; however, a credit score is not part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.

Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $69,300.00 annually.
