Position Overview

Role Summary:
The Vocational Support Specialist at CLW is essential in fostering a nurturing and secure atmosphere for individuals facing developmental challenges. This role involves the design and implementation of programs aimed at enhancing self-sufficiency, while also supporting vocational initiatives under the supervision of the Vocational Director. The position is full-time within a daytime program environment, operating from Monday to Friday, 8AM - 4PM.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and engage individuals in vocational activities to promote skill development and autonomy.
- Deliver direct support to clients with developmental challenges, ensuring their safety and overall well-being at all times.
- Instruct clients on strategies to mitigate maladaptive behaviors, enhance self-care skills, and improve communication techniques.
- Maintain comprehensive records of programs, care provided, and any notable behaviors observed.
- Oversee clients' personal items, coordinating necessary repairs or replacements as required.
- Arrange transportation for clients, ensuring the safety and dependability of vehicles.
- Handle vocational billing and invoicing, ensuring timely completion of vocational tasks.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, staff, and the Vocational Director to facilitate smooth operations.
- Collaborate with current and prospective clients to cultivate meaningful work opportunities for individuals served by CLW.
