Role Summary:

The Psychiatric Residency Coordinator serves as a crucial link among the Program Director, Associate Program Directors, Residents, and various stakeholders including the central Graduate Medical Education (GME) office and applicants. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the residency program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new residents to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Oversee program activities to maintain compliance with all GME policies and standards.
  • Gather and manage data to meet the requirements set forth by the hospital and relevant accrediting bodies.
  • Continuously monitor and implement updates to accreditation standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide administrative support for Clinical Competency Committees and Program Evaluation Committees, including documentation of meetings.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
  • At least one year of experience in Graduate Medical Education is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
