Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and fostering enduring relationships with clients. This position involves handling monetary transactions for customers while ensuring precise record-keeping of deposits, withdrawals, and other banking activities.

Work Schedule

Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM.

Physical Requirements

This role requires standing for the majority of the workday and may involve lifting, carrying, or moving heavy items, including currency and coin weighing up to 45 pounds. Manual dexterity and keen visual and auditory skills are essential for performing the duties associated with this position.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Welcomes clients and manages cash and paper transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and the sale of negotiable instruments.
  2. Facilitates customer access to safe deposit boxes as needed.
  3. Handles mail and night drop transactions efficiently.
  4. Maintains necessary documentation, including signature cards and transaction logs.
  5. Balances the cash drawer at the conclusion of each shift and completes any additional required tasks.
  6. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  7. Demonstrates consistent attendance and flexibility in working hours, including weekends if applicable.

Preferred Skills

Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with clients and colleagues. Proficiency in operating computer workstations, printers, and other office equipment. Strong commitment to confidentiality and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset is essential.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with banking products, policies, and procedures is advantageous. A foundational understanding of general banking principles is preferred, along with a willingness to engage in ongoing educational opportunities. Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are required.

Education Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
