Your Role as an Administrative Support/Medical Billing Specialist:


The Bilingual Spanish Speaking Administrative Support/Medical Biller will undertake routine administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence and reports, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining both paper and electronic files, and providing information to patients or visitors.

This role may involve working with patients to gather billing information, reconciling billing reports, and verifying insurance details.


Key Responsibilities:
Establish, maintain, and retrieve general files for the clinic or department.

Manage and coordinate administrative programs or office activities.

Utilize computer software to create spreadsheets, manage databases, and prepare presentations, reports, and documents.

Answer phone calls, take messages, or transfer calls as necessary.

Schedule appointments and update calendars accordingly.

Assist in organizing staff meetings, handle incoming/outgoing mail and faxes, and prepare memos, invoices, or other reports.

Maintain databases and filing systems, whether electronic or paper-based.

Perform basic bookkeeping tasks as required.

May assist patients in securing billing information, reconciling billing reports, and verifying insurance.

Execute duties with specific knowledge of medical terminology and clinic procedures.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; secretarial or similar training preferred

Bilingual in Spanish/English is required

2+ years of secretarial or administrative experience required; healthcare experience highly preferred

Familiarity with administrative processes and systems, including word processing and spreadsheet software, managing files, and patient records

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and discretion in handling confidential information

Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Comfortable working in an addiction recovery environment
