Job Overview
Position: Food & Beverage Team Leader
Reports to: Food & Beverage Management
Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Team Leader will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our guests while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. This position is essential in assisting the management team with the daily operations of all food and beverage venues within the establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the dining facilities.
  • Ensure all reservations are accurately prepared and executed.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with colleagues and guests.
  • Manage shift openings and closings according to established protocols.
  • Engage with guests, initiate conversations, and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate daily staff schedules and make adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize tools for efficient shift management, including schedules and floor plans.
  • Address team member concerns and resolve issues promptly.
  • Handle guest inquiries regarding reservations and cancellations.
  • Be present on the floor throughout service periods.
  • Process discounts and assist with billing inquiries, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, including preparation times and dietary restrictions.
  • Monitor business flow and adjust staffing levels to maintain service quality.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of service areas.
  • Train new staff on service standards and operational procedures.
  • Ensure team members adhere to uniform and appearance standards.
  • Promote responsible alcohol service in compliance with regulations.
  • Foster a positive and motivated team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Maintain positive relationships across departments.
  • Verify guest identification for alcohol service compliance.
  • Report any operational issues to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in hospitality food and beverage roles is essential.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using technology, including tablets and POS systems.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Corrected vision within normal range.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Mental Requirements
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
