Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a key leader within the Strategic Finance organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Corporate Planning Processes: Develop and manage all ongoing corporate planning processes, including annual operating plans, long-range plans, and monthly reporting.
- Support Decision-Making: Provide best-in-class decision support to the executive team and cross-functional operational leadership.
- Coach and Develop Team: Coach and develop the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, providing expertise and guidance across functional areas.
- Communicate Business Trends: Communicate real-time changes in assumptions and business trends to leadership and develop regular KPI/metric reporting to track results and identify trends.
- Manage Financial Statements: Manage the consolidation of financial statements forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in corporate reporting.
- Develop Gross-to-Net Forecast: Develop a gross-to-net forecast for all product lines, with an extensive understanding of payer mix, discount structures by entity, and regulatory changes.
- Sustain ERP Systems: Sustain and improve ERP systems and integration with other corporate systems.
- Industry Benchmarking: Oversee industry benchmarking and peer set monitoring.
- Build Relationships: Build strong relationships and develop insights with other functions within Strategic Finance, Accounting, cross-functional partners, and executive management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. CPA/CFA/MBA preferred.
- Experience: 10-12 years of experience in corporate finance, banking, or consulting. Biotech or healthcare industry experience required.
- Skills: Industry-specific experience, with an extensive understanding of revenue forecasting, commercial operations, clinical development, and portfolio management. Strong track record of team building and managerial responsibility. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment, prioritize projects, and deliver quality results within tight time constraints.
