Role Overview

As a Software Engineering Manager within the CLM Collaboration Team, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing features for a range of collaboration and negotiation tools in DocuSign's CLM and Intelligent Agreement Management offerings. You will guide a team of full-stack engineers and take ownership of the delivery of new functionalities. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineering managers and teams to foster employee engagement in product development. Additionally, you will partner with key stakeholders in software development to construct a product roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic vision. This position encompasses responsibilities as a people manager, hiring manager, technical leader, and delivery manager for the teams you will closely collaborate with.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement our product roadmap utilizing agile methodologies
  • Develop and sustain a suite of highly scalable, efficient, and reliable services
  • Collaborate with partner teams to devise solutions that cater to diverse needs
  • Engage with the Product Management team to gather requirements and design the next generation of services
  • Enhance the performance and dependability of existing services
  • Adopt a data-driven approach and advocate for decisions based on analytics
  • Support the mentorship and development of team members
Work Environment

Hybrid: Employees will split their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is necessary.

Qualifications

Essential

  • 5+ years of combined experience in software development and management across various languages and frameworks
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing software teams of 6 or more
  • Proven experience leading full-stack engineering teams

Preferred

  • Demonstrated success in leading geographically diverse teams
  • Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks
  • Background in managing mid to large-sized full-stack teams
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with advanced web applications and test-driven development on the client side
  • Knowledge of complex data ecosystems and data quality management
  • Proven track record of driving positive change within teams and processes
  • Expertise in high-scale, highly available systems
  • Proficiency in CSS, AJAX, JSON, HTML, or MVC frameworks
  • Experience with Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server, etc.)
  • A history of identifying and nurturing exceptional talent
  • Experience in full-stack SaaS development
  • Experience in launching initial product versions
Compensation Overview

In accordance with applicable regulations, the following salary ranges apply:

California: $151,800 - $245,150 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800 - $214,350 base salary

This position is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
