About the Opportunity

Job Summary:

The Career Development Manager will play a key role in delivering on Northeastern's values around experiential learning by managing the student experience for specific programs within the EDGE team's portfolio.

This hire can be located at either the Boston, MA or Charlotte, NC campus, to be accessible to either NU location. This position is hybrid, requiring 2-days a week on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising and assisting learners with academic and program concerns; serving as the connector for learners to various university resources.
  • Working with instructional support team to facilitate learner engagement.
  • Developing and implementing communication and engagement plan for learners.
  • Organizing and attending live sessions and assist with delivery as needed.
  • Collecting information and distributing reporting for learner success metrics; escalating specific learner concerns to program manager.
  • Assisting in course registration and managing student orientation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highly developed people skills and ability to successfully communicate, both in writing and verbally, with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, administrative, and time management skills. Ability to analyze, synthesize, and summarize data.
  • Demonstrated strong business writing and project management skills. Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree plus one to three years of related student support and/or operations management experience.
