The Boston University Questrom School of Business is seeking a highly skilled Career Development Specialist to provide career development services to Master of Science in Mathematical Finance & Financial Technology program students. The successful candidate will provide individual career coaching sessions and career development workshops, collaborating with the school's other career-related programming and initiatives to optimize seamless student support.



Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement career development strategies to promote student success
  • Provide individual career coaching sessions and workshops to students
  • Collaborate with the school's other career-related programming and initiatives
  • Track and communicate student information through written notes and verbal conversations


Requirements
  • Master's degree in higher education or career counseling and a minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Background in finance or another quantitative discipline may also be considered with at least five years of relevant experience
  • Experience with core skills and domain knowledge taught in the MSMFT program
  • Specifically, at least 2 years of academic or work experience within one or more of the following fields: quantitative finance, derivatives pricing and analytics, asset management, investment banking, trading or data science
  • Experience in advising, coaching, or mentoring students or business professionals
  • Working knowledge of Mandarin preferred
