Job Overview:

The State of Idaho's Office of the State Board of Education is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative support to the College and Career Access team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of administrative tasks, including secretarial duties, public relations, and coordination of complex activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work autonomously, and a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks, including word processing, filing, and composing business documents
  • Interact with external customers, screen visitors and phone calls, and answer inquiries using public relations and liaison skills
  • Coordinate activities requiring complex arrangements, such as travel, registration, and accommodation negotiations
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff members, including coordinating committees and handling communications related to sensitive or confidential issues
  • Develop and manage surveys sent to stakeholders
  • Process outgoing marketing materials and arrange travel for staff
  • Responsible for purchases related to travel, office equipment, and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of work experience performing complex secretarial, office administration, and public relations assignments, with a strong background in office support functions, including word processing, filing, and reception. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism.

Salary: Estimated salary range $45,000 - $68,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
