Construction Equipment Sales Representative

We are in search of a motivated and enthusiastic outside sales professional to manage equipment sales in the designated territory. This position entails showcasing products, identifying potential clients, and efficiently following up on leads. Ideal candidates will thrive in a remote work environment and possess strong time management skills.

Remote Sales Role

Must reside and operate within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily territory and drive revenue growth through direct customer interactions and telephonic outreach.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations through equipment rentals and sales.
  • Advocate for the sale and rental of our equipment offerings.
  • Highlight the advantages and capabilities of our Parts and Service departments.
  • Complete all necessary sales documentation, including orders and rental agreements, to finalize transactions.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and establish weekly, monthly, and annual contact goals.

Qualifications:

  • Prior sales experience, particularly in the construction equipment sector, is preferred.
  • A BA/BS degree in marketing, sales, business, or related fields is desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments including Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and project management skills to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrated success with 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the equipment industry or 5+ years in a related field.
  • Familiarity with local market conditions and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to travel overnight to various locations as required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

The employee may occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, or perform other physical activities. Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities necessary for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
