Job Summary:

The Youth Care Specialist II is responsible for providing residential services to children who have experienced situations of abuse, neglect, or homelessness. This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and patience, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily living activities, including meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping.
  • Assist with medication administration and complete necessary documentation.
  • Develop and implement behavior modification programs for each resident.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support for each resident.
  • Accompany residents on appointments, activities, and outings.
  • Transport residents to and from services, such as tutoring, recreational activities, and healthcare provision.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with children who have experienced trauma and abuse.
Working Conditions:
