Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Program Director to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club Crescent Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising activities and programs focused on education and youth development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum to promote educational enhancement and prepare youth for the future.
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to members, promoting positive relationships and a safe environment.
  • Design and implement colorful and informative displays and bulletin boards to promote program areas.
  • Assist in the execution of national projects and exhibits, and mentor and inspire youth, adults, and volunteers in the creative process.
  • Keep records of participants, schedules, attendance, and program results, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Participate in mandatory First Aid/CPR training and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Youth Development or a related field, and 3-4 years of program delivery experience.
  • College Degree in Education or a related field, and 1-2 years of program delivery experience for non-certified teachers/school staff.
  • Ability to deal effectively with staff and youth, demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of youth development.
  • BI-LINGUAL IN ENGLISH/SPANISH IS A PLUS.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate positive relationships with youth, and understand the Clubs' philosophy, vision, and goals.
Working Conditions

The Education Program Director will work in after-school/recreational settings, both indoors and outdoors, and may be required to work occasional weekends to support the organization's fundraising events and activities.

Compensation

Certified Teachers - hourly rate $25, Education Specialist - hourly rate $15.
