A Project Engineer position is available at KWC Engineers. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License, and have a minimum of five years of experience in supervising and managing survey teams for design, mapping, and construction initiatives. This role is full-time with a competitive annual salary range based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and drafting of grading, street enhancement, and underground utility plans while complying with design standards and client specifications.
  • Oversee small teams of professional and technical staff, ensuring effective execution of complex technical tasks.
  • Prepare proposals and pursue contracts with both new and existing clients across public and private sectors.
  • Guarantee design quality and introduce innovative ideas through supervision, participation, plan reviews, and mentorship of junior personnel.
  • Manage technical project aspects, demonstrating expertise in the preparation of water, sewer, drainage, and water quality management reports for land development projects.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to foster client and agency relationships.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff members.
  • Utilize creativity and resourcefulness to deliver technical innovations and practical solutions to challenges.
  • Make independent decisions regarding work methods and procedures, contributing to both short- and long-term planning.
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Make informed decisions on complex technical matters, with recommendations typically reviewed only for significant financial implications or long-term goals.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and initiative in interpreting policies and executing significant projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least five years of experience in civil engineering and design, particularly in land development projects, including drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
  • PE license is mandatory.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion while handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Design, and H2OMap Sewer.
  • Experience in hydrology and hydraulic analysis, design methodologies, and low-impact development applications for water quality.
  • Strong technical, communication, teamwork, and client relationship skills.
