Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Supervisor to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility's registration and scheduling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines, and complete timely evaluations of team members.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Coordinate all registration duties with direct and indirect reporting employees, ensuring registration and pre-registration duties are completed daily.
  • Staff Management: Assign and coordinate staff schedules, including scheduling rotation, time off, and call-offs as necessary.
  • Upfront Collection Process: Track and monitor upfront collection process, assign goals, and provide coaching and corrective action as appropriate.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation, providing administrative and educational guidance to staff via telephone, and filling in for call-offs or staffing issues as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Assist with developing department processes and procedures, conduct staff training, education, and development, and conduct audits to ensure acceptable performance.
  • Customer Service: Embody standards of behavior to provide and promote excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
  • Project Management: Manage assigned projects in regards to implementing, tracking, and process changes, and report to Patient Access Leadership routinely for monitoring.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience in healthcare patient access or business office required, with 2-4 years of previous management or supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a Healthcare-related field preferred, with High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Certifications: Must pass the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative examination offered through the Healthcare Financial Management Association within 120 days of hire, unless already certified.
