Job OverviewPosition Title: Senior Economic Analyst

The Senior Economic Analyst will spearhead and oversee intricate economic research and analytical initiatives, delivering strategic insights and recommendations to facilitate high-level decision-making. This position entails performing comprehensive economic evaluations, constructing advanced economic models, and directing a team of analysts. The Senior Economic Analyst will work in collaboration with senior leadership and various departments to shape business strategies and assess the ramifications of economic changes on the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage complex economic research initiatives, encompassing data gathering, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Design and execute sophisticated economic models and simulations to predict economic trends and evaluate potential scenarios.
  • Offer strategic insights and recommendations derived from economic evaluations to assist senior leadership and organizational decision-making.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of macroeconomic and microeconomic elements, including market conditions, policy shifts, and global economic trends.
  • Compile and present thorough reports, forecasts, and economic evaluations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of economic analysts, providing direction, training, and support to ensure high-quality analysis and research.
  • Collaborate with finance, strategy, and product teams to incorporate economic insights into business planning, investment decisions, and policy formulation.
  • Monitor and assess economic trends, policy modifications, and industry advancements to foresee their impact on the organization and its markets.
  • Manage partnerships with external research entities, economic advisors, and industry specialists to enhance the quality and scope of economic analysis.
  • Stay updated on innovations in economic research methodologies, tools, and technologies to continually enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to tackle complex economic challenges and opportunities encountered by the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in economic analysis, research, or a related capacity, with a proven history of managing complex projects and delivering strategic insights.
  • Advanced comprehension of economic principles, quantitative analysis methods, and economic modeling.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., STATA, R, MATLAB) and economic modeling tools.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the capability to convey intricate economic concepts to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of analysts, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of global economic trends, policies, and their implications for business and markets.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional certifications or training in economics, data analysis, or related fields are highly desirable.
